John Woodard founded the firm in May of 1985. Mr. Woodard serves as an investment counselor and is a member of the Investment Committee. Primarily focusing on equity selection and overall  portfolio strategy, he is involved with all phases of the business, as well as overseeing compliance, both federal and state requirements. He began his investment career in the late 1970's with E. F. Hutton & Co., Inc. as a stockbroker and subsequently worked with Shearson Lehman Bros. Born in 1953, Mr. Woodard graduated from the State University of New York with a Bachelor of  Science in Business Administration.  He and his colleagues from Woodard & Company Asset Management Group, Inc. answer the public's investment questions on the locally well known radio show "The Intelligent Investor" with host J. R. Snider on WSJS (600 & 1200 AM) each Thursday morning from 8:45 - 10 am.   Mr. Woodard holds the Series 65 Registered Investment Advisor registration.
