Dr. Larry Hungerford serves as an investment counselor and is a member of the Investment Committee.  His primary focus is mutual fund selection, as well as overall portfolio strategy. Born in 1936, Dr. Hungerford, formerly a professor at Winston-Salem State University, has a Master's degree from Ball State and a Ph.D. in Economic Education from Ohio University.  He has given seminars on "No-Load" mutual fund investing, free to the general public, since 1986.  He and his colleagues from Woodard & Company Asset Management Group, Inc. answer the public's  investment questions on the locally well known radio show "The Intelligent Investor" with host J. R. Snider on WSJS (600 & 1200 AM) each Thursday morning from 8:45 - 10 am.  Dr. Hungerford and Steve Hungerford have also written a book, "Sector Investing" (published by McGraw-Hill). Dr. Hungerford is a Chartered Mutual Fund Counselor.
